Using Digital Video teaches the principles off digital video and audio, and it provides a comprehensive look at the technical aspects of both analog and digital video. It focuses on the IBM platform and compatibles running Windows or OS/2. Key features provide all of the information necessary to incorporate and distribute video and audio into existing applications, electronic presentations, and information (including production and postproduction). Techniques include animation, still images, data compression, and multimedia authoring. Using Digital Video is written for the average computer user so that no prior knowledge of audio or video is required for this relatively non-technical approach.
