Synopsis
This volume is designed to follow Introduction to Natural Science, Part I, The Physical Sciences by V. L. Parsegian, Alan S. Meltzer, Abraham S. Luchins, and K. Scott Kinerson. It provides, together with the experiments in its accompanying Laboratory Manual, enough material for a two-semester, 6-credit hour course normally to be given in the second year of a baccalaureate or associate degree program. The text includes sufficient chemistry, especially organic chemistry to permit a biochemical approach to the study of living systems.
