Synopsis
This work provides students in plant sciences with a concise general account of plant biochemistry. * Special metabolism-chapters on phenolics, isoprenoids and secondary nitrogen compounds.
* The plant and the environment-discussions of pathology, ecology and biotechnology at the molecular level.
The emphasis is on plant metabolism, but functional, regulatory, and molecular biological aspects have been covered, as well as illustrations of pathways, structural features, and bibliographies. This book will be of interest to a wide audience from final year undergraduates to active researchers in the field.
