This manual is organized and written to be understood by wide range of readers through discussions that apply chemistry to everyday life. The book incorporates four major adjustments into all procedures: microscaled laboratory tests; the substitution of non-hazardous materials; some procedures converted to individual observations; and eliminating procedures of limited value. Each chapter also contains: background material; pre-laboratory assignment; the experimental procedure; data sheets; reflective exercises; and a review section.
