Examining the full scope of digital signal processing in the biomedical filed, this guide provides the basics of digital signal processingas well as C-language programs for designing and implementing simple digital filters. It provides a set of laboratory experiments that can be done using either an actual analog-to-digital converter or a virtual (i.e., simulated with software) converter. A floppy disc provided with the book includes the special program called UW DigiScope which provides an environment for conducting lab experiments, designing digital filters of different types, and visualizing the results of processing on the display.
