It provides a set of laboratory experiments that can be done using either an actual analog-to-digital converter or a virtual (i.e., simulated with software) converter. A floppy disc provided with the book includes the special program called UW DigiScope which provides an environment for conducting lab experiments, designing digital filters of different types, and visualizing the results of processing on the display.
