The book takes a learn-by-doing approach, with numerous exercises that allow the reader to apply knowledge each step of the way.

Some key features of this new edition include:

  • Unit 1 contains a valuable dictionary of terms, standard abbreviations, and alphabet of lines that form the foundation for further study.
  • Unit 11 on metric dimensions has been updated to reflect the correct metric specifications dealing with dimensions and tolerances according to ISO standards.
