Part 1 of Precision Optical Glassworking is a revised and updated translation of Willy Zschommler's classic book on optical production engineering, "Feinoptik Glasbearbeitung (Werkkunde fiir den Feinoptiker). This deals systematically with every stage in the manufacture of lenses and prisms for precision optical instruments including aspheric surfaces, roof edge prisms, hyperhemispherical lens components for high-power microscope objectives and many aspects of workshop testing for optical components and complete optical instruments.
