About the Author

The author has extensive teaching experience, from which he has drawn in the production of the text.  He is a Fellow of the Institution of Electrical Engineers, a Chartered Engineer and was latterly Associate Head of the Departments of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the University of Paisley.  His previous publications include Introduction to VLSI Technology, published by Prentice Hall in 1994
