Electrical Machines and Power Systems is a technical school or A-Level text using a systematic method to provide an overview of electrical machine and power system operation in one easy-to-understand reference. Key concepts are presented using a 'big picture' approach. Real-world applications, procedures, and operations and stressed throughout the five major units of the book. A block diagram of the electrical power system model used for the unit organization of the book is a new approach to teaching this content. Mathematical presentations are simplified and problems are solved by basic applications. The textbook is divided into five major units of study--(1)Power Measurement;(2)Power Production;(3) Power Distribution;(4) Power Conversion; (5) Power Control. The units contain educational objective which will be attained by the user of the text. Each unit is organized in chapter format, with each chapter containing an introductory section, the main text, and study problems/questions at the end. Line drawings and Industrial photographs are used to give the text a more 'real-world' look. This textbook will make learning about electrical machines and power systems relevant.
