From reviews of the text:
“In all the textbooks I’ve read over the years [Woolfolk’s] writing is . . . the best: clear, funny at times, and makes tremendously good use of narrative and illustrative examples . . . . Woolfolk is the most accessible and clearly written of [all of the] educational psychology texts.”
–Patrick Canning, Northern Arizona University
“I like the cluster and model approach to the table of contents. Also, the organization of the content fits into my needs with my course better than previous textbooks. . . . The key strengths that I see in the text are the user-friendly approach to the overall material, very reader friendly, and the multiple resources that connect theory, concepts, and strategies to practice. . . . The resources provided in the text allow for the information to be more engaging . . . .”
–Jenna McLain, University of South Florida
“The comprehensive coverage of Educational Psychology content is exemplary. All the main topics that I wish to see in a book are addressed, and are largely covered in contemporary ways and with clear language and explanation . . . . This book is better than the other ones on the market in several ways. I find the use of a modular approach is excellent to promote greater comprehension for the learners . . . . While I have often lamented the approach to have 15 long EDPSY chapters, I did not envision that anyone would be able to organize a set of smaller components that would effectively provide the material without losing the big picture. I was mistaken. It is impressive that an established author such as Anita Woolfolk would take the time and effort to recast the educational psychology field in a modular format. Without question, this book provides the content of educational psychology in a manner that “practices what we preach” in educational psychology.”
–Jerrell Cassady, Ball State University
