Synopsis

For courses in Marriage and the Family

A comprehensive introduction to the issues families face today
Revel™ Marriages & Families: Changes, Choices, and Constraints explores important contemporary changes in society and the family through the lenses of the choices that are available to family members and the constraints that often limit their choices. Authors Nijole Benokraitis and Cheryl Buehler examine a variety of cross-cultural and multicultural scenarios to help students better understand the families in which they were raised as well as the families they may be forming themselves. The 9th Edition includes fully up-to-date data as well as coverage of contemporary topics such as adult children living at home, the effects of same-sex marriage legalization, and the gray divorce revolution.

Revel is Pearson’s newest way of delivering our respected content. Fully digital and highly engaging, Revel replaces the textbook and gives students everything they need for the course. Informed by extensive research on how people read, think, and learn, Revel is an interactive learning environment that enables students to read, practice, and study in one continuous experience – for less than the cost of a traditional textbook.

NOTE: This Revel Combo Access pack includes a Revel access code plus a loose-leaf print reference (delivered by mail) to complement your Revel experience. In addition to this access code, you will need a course invite link, provided by your instructor, to register for and use Revel.
