Discusses the impact of cholesterol on one's health, and lists the amount of saturated fat and cholesterol in hundreds of foods

The bulk of this book consists of tables that give a single number for the combined cholesterol-producing effect of both the saturated fat and the cholesterol content of over 6000 food items. This system requires readers to total up calories eaten each day and to consume no more than a correlating 100 "2-in-1" points a day. No mention is ever made about eating items from different food groups to insure a balanced diet. Readers should stick with the tables provided by Roy E. Vartabedian and Kathy Matthews in Nutripoints ( LJ 12/1/89), which calculates both essential and excessive nutritional elements when assigning each food item a score.
