Synopsis

It augmented the character I/O mechanism and supported the development of communication services. It is organized into 2 parts. 1. Applications Programming, and 2. Module and Device Driver Programming. which describes the STREAMS kernel facilities for developing modules and drivers. The Parts are independent. Working knowledge of the STREAMS Primer is assumed.
