A fictional look at how Franklin Roosevelt might have shaped his policies as he was preparing to become a presidential candidate and how his choices might have shaped world history. The story is told through a series of letters between Franklin and a friend. The letters deal with the political issues of 1900 and 1929 and how Franklin might use Theodore Roosevelt’s ideas for his political future. Theodore’s ideas derive from notes he wrote to himself as he prepared for his vice presidential campaign in 1900. The letters show that some of the political issues of 1900 and 1929 are still with us and we continue to make bad choices for political reasons.
