From AudioFile

Listening to Nigel Lambert is like hearing a full-cast recording. This Brit is familiar on the BBC for his work on children's programming, and he certainly has a childlike playfulness as he reads the tale of Sigurd the Viking, who is transported by a fog from his warrior longboat in the tenth century to the Viking Hotel in the English countryside in the twentieth century. Lambert portrays everyone from the blustery Sigurd to the prim Mrs. Tibblethwaite to the bemused children so spot-on that you may check the box (as I did) to see if all the parts are REALLY done by one voice. The story itself is a sequel, and the adventures these characters have are a bit simplistic, but Lambert has so much fun with VIKING, he practically dares his listener not to have fun, too. M.C.
