Kermit the frog helps his nephew, Robin, write a ghost story

Kindergarten-Grade 2?In Night Out, Miss Piggy is her usual vain self, trying to attract the attention of the rich and famous while she pays little attention to Kermit, her long-time friend. Faithful Kermit invites her to a fancy restaurant where all the stars eat, and makes her feel better after an embarrassing encounter with a director. Readers will find the story predictable but humorous. Leigh's colorful illustrations add to the lighthearted tone and provide some helpful details. Muntean's title is less predictable. Robin wants Uncle Kermit to read him his favorite bedtime story again; Kermit suggests that they write one instead. This story-within-a-story will definitely be a challenge for some beginning readers; however, the familiar characters and illustrations will help them meet it.?Mary Ann Bursk, Bucks County Free Library, Levittown, PA
