About the Author
Katy Hall has written all of the Life With Louie books for HarperEntertainment. She and Lisa Eisenberg have collaborated on many fun flap books, including Hearty Har Har; Gobble, Gobble, Giggle; Jingle Jokes; Easter Crack-ups; and Trick or Eeek! Ms. Hall lives in New York City.

Grade 1-3-A collection of riddles about vampires, ghosts, ghouls, and assorted monsters. The selections are presented in an easy-to-read format with the answer immediately following each question. The selections are not particularly fresh but the illustrations are a scream. Schindler uses a fine-nibbed pen to include lots of subtle details before adding vivid watercolor washes. The sea monster who likes to eat "Fish-and-ships" shows the captain holding his nose as he abandons a vessel being consumed by a grinning sea serpent. Details like this make Creepy Riddles a superior choice for most joke or beginning-to-read collections.
