This short but entertaining story is excellent for early readers/listeners. Ben wants a dragon the same way most kids long for a pet dog. When Dad keeps refusing Ben's request, Ben cleverly finds an important use for the dragon, should the family get one. Narrator Rebecca Macauley, as always, enhances Jennings's unique stories with her rich, childlike Australian accent. This audiobook includes original music, a read-along edition (but no book), and a version with only the narrator's voice. This is the perfect solution for youngsters who want to hear a favorite story again and again. S.G.B. © AudioFile 2004, Portland, Maine-- Copyright © AudioFile, Portland, Maine
