Synopsis
The story follows the trail of Dr. Henry Mulcahy, a degree-gathering scholar, as he plots the downfall of the man who has dismissed him from his post as instructor of literature. Mulcahy tries to keep his job by enlisting the help of a beautiful young woman as he lies about his wife's health and his political past.
