Both define difficult terms and have two-page sections giving interesting facts about the professions. Veterinarian provides an overview of where vets work, including those who make housecalls or work at zoos, and interesting facts on holistic veterinary medicine. One double-page spread is devoted to famous veterinarians, and another to specialized vocabulary that includes terms like "hoof nipper." Astronaut introduces readers to the idea of a career in the space program with sections on space camps, training, and education. A section also discusses the Challenger Center Program founded by the families of the Challenger crew who died in the 1986 explosion.
