Gordon Malone began his career as a chemistry teacher in Wallasey and ended it as a Lecturer in Special Educational Needs at Jordanhill College, Glasgow. He is married to Dorothy Smith.
Dorothy Smith is an Advisory Teacher for Specific Learning Difficulties in Suffolk. Her previous experience includes many years teaching children with learning difficulties in secondary schools. She was NASEN's Hon. Secretary, 1992-95, and is an enthusiastic member of its Publications Sub-Committee.
