About the Author

Dr. Barry Keating is a Professor of Economics at the University of Notre Dame. He specializes in understanding how the not-for-profit organization functions, and how it responds to changes in incentives, changes in revenues and cost conditions, and changes in regulatory mechanisms. He has also done extensive research in the area of quantitative methods of forecasting and regulation. Dr. Keating is a Heritage Foundation Fellow, a Heartland Institute Research Fellow, former President of the Economic Club of Michiana and serves on the Board of Advisors of the Indiana Policy Review Group and WNIT (Michiana Public Broadcasting). He has written more than 50 articles for professional journals and several textbooks in the areas of Business Forecasting, Managerial Economics, Fundamentals of Managerial Economics, and Not-For-Profit. Dr. Keating received his BBA from University of Notre Dame, his MA from Lehigh University and his Ph.D. from the University of Notre Dame.

J. Holton Wilson is a Professor of Economics and Marketing at Central Michigan University. He has published articles in over 40 journals including the Journal of Business, Business Economics, Journal of Marketing Education. He has won numerous teaching honors including CMU College of Business Dean's Teaching Award, 1995, Ameritech Teaching Award, Spring 2000, Outstanding MBA Faculty Award, Spring 2000. Professor Wilson received his B.A. & B.S. from Otterbein College in Economics and Chemistry, his MBA from Bowling Green University, and his D.B.A. from Kent State University.
