About the Author

Jane Rogers has written six novels and a number of television screenplays, including Dawn and the Candidate and a four-part serialisation of Mr Wroe's Virgins. She teaches part-time on the MA in Writing course at Sheffield Hallam University, is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature, and
has received the following awards for her work: The Somerset Maugham Award for Her Living Image, Writers Guild Best Fiction Award (1996) for Promised Lands, Samuel Beckett Award for Dawn and the Candidate, and a BAFTA nomination for the best drama serial for Mr Wroe's Virgins.
