KATHLEEN GREGORY KLEIN is the author of the award-winning book The Woman Detective: Gender and Genre (1988, rev. ed. forthcoming in 1995) and editor of Women Times Three: Writers, Detectives, Readers (forthcoming), as well as numerous articles on detective fiction. She teaches English and Women's Studies at Southern Connecticut State University.
