Synopsis
In Applied Geostatistics, the authors demonstrate how simple statistical methods can be used to analyze earth science data. They explain how various forms of the estimation method called kriging can be employed for specific problems. A case study of a simulated deposit is the focus of the book. This model helps the student develop an understanding of how statistical tools work, serving as a tutorial to guide the reader through his or her first independent geostatistical study. The text is aimed primarily at students of mining geology and engineering.

Edward H. Isaaks is a member of the Department of Applied Earth Sciences, Stanford University. R. Mohan Srivastava, formerly with the Department of Applied Earth Sciences, Stanford University, is currently at FSS International, Vancouver, British Columbia.

Condition: Acceptable. LIGHTNING FAST SHIPPING! A heavily used, but still working copy. Coffee stain and wrinkling to the edge of the pages when a tired undergrad fell asleep and knocked their cup over on their books. The binding and pages of the book have been reinforced with tape, has tape and stickers on the cover, as well as lots of notes (some of the answers in the learning activities may be filled in) on the pages.
