Moving Beyond Assessment is one of the most practical books that a new clinician in the behavioral/mental field can own. It is filled with short and concise chapters that address all of the questions that new clinicians have when they are first starting out. The topics range from introducing yourself to ethics to creating a treatment plan to understanding neurobiology. Both authors are professors, clinical supervisors, and active practitioners. Anyone who is entering the field as a social worker, psychologist, counselor, coach, or nurse will find this book to be one of the most invaluable books in their collection.
