Microprocessors and Microcontrollers is designed as a comprehensive textbook for undergraduate engineering students to lay a strong foundation to the basic principles and application of microprocessors and microcontrollers.
The book is divided into four parts and broadly addresses the architecture, programming and interfacing of 8 bit 8085 Microprocessor, followed by 8 bit 8051 Microcontroller and subsequently discusses 16 bit 8086 Microprocessor and Microcontroller. It also touches upon the fundamentals of 32 bit, and 64 bit advanced processors. The book throughout provides the most popular programming tool - the assembly language codes to enhance the knowledge of programming the processors.
Clear and concise in its treatment of topics, the contents of the book is supported by learning tools such as review questions, application examples (case studies) and design-based exercises.

About the Author
Dr. N. Senthil Kumar is Professor at the Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Mepco Schlenk Engineering College, Sivakasi, Tamilnadu. He has more than 20 years of active teaching and research experience.
Dr. M. Saravanan is Assistant Professor at the Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Thiagarajar College of Engineering, Madurai, Tamilnadu. He has more than 15 years of teaching and research experience.
Dr. S. Jeevananthan is Senior Lecturer at the Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Pondicherry Engineering College, Puducherry. He has around a decade of experience in teaching undergraduates and postgraduates.
