* Advice on NLS content, methodology and teaching strategies (including modelled, shared and guided reading and writing)
* Guidance on using the Literacy Kit, how the components fit together, matching the components to the lesson structure and teaching styles by the NLS
* Classroom issues such as planning and assessment, differentiation and group work
* Photocopy masters
* Introductions to and descriptions of the texts types and objectives specified in the NLS
* Model answers for all questions

About the Author
Geoff Barton is a teacher and best-selling author of Comprehension to 14. Michaela Blackledge was Literacy Coordinator in an NLS pilot school, and is now Literacy Consultant for pilot LEA Wakefield. Joanna Crewe is a Literacy Coordinator and teacher; along with Jane Flintoft, she appears on
NLS training videos designed to model excellence in literacy teaching.
