Michael Allaby is a well-known writer on science and the environment. He is the general editor of The Oxford Dictionary of Natural History, the editor of IThe Concise Oxford Dictionary of Zoology, and, with Ailsa Allaby, The Concise Oxford Dictionary of the Earth Sciences. He is also the author of many books, including Conservation at Home: A Practical Handbook, Ecology Facts, and Guide to Gaia.
