About the Editors: Simon Hornblower is Fellow and Tutor at Oriel College, Oxford, and University Lecturer in Ancient History. He is the author, among other works, of The Greek World and a major commentary on Thucydides. He is also an editor and contributor to volume 6 of the Cambridge Ancient History. Antony Spawforth is Senior Lecturer in Ancient History and Greek Archaeology at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne and also Curator of the Shefton Museum there. His publications include Hellenistic and Roman Sparta, A Tale of Two Cities.
