Book Description Hardcover. Condition: Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. 1st Edition. Published by Oxford University Press in 1985, here is the outrageously rare, first hardback printing of Jean Dunbabin's FRANCE IN THE MAKING, 843-1180. Black cloth binding, gilt lettering, 442 pages, the book is in good condition with such extensive pencil notes made at the front and rear of the book and at a few instances throughout by the eminent Medieval Historian Michael Clanchy, this being his review copy. There is also some finger marking to the extreme outside of the page edges. The dust jacket is good with some browning to the edges and inside folds, plus some tanning to the spine. This really is an incredibly rare book. Seller Inventory # 10788
