`Reinventing the dictionary might sound impossible, but that's just what Oxford, the market-leader in dictionaries, has just done. The approach in their all-new first dictionary for infants and lower juniors blends the traditional with the modern. ...what this dictionary has in spades is a
simplicity and directness that will appeal to youngster, and be welcomed by parents and educators.
...Well designed and easy to use, this is a dictionary with a long life ahead of it - not filed away gathering dust on a shelf; but on desks and work-tables, where it belongs.

Manchester Evening News
`You'll get no 'oohs' and 'aahs' of delight from recipients, but in weeks, months, and years to follow, this Illustrated Dictionary will give pleasure and be useful. The illustrations alone are stunning, as well as being effectively used to highlight some of the entries, each of which is made
intelligible by being included in a sample sentence. Looking up words becomes a genuine pleasure.
