First Words Non-fiction is a collection of engaging books for very new readers. These books contain carefully controlled vocabulary and focus on familiar experiences. At Stage 1 each book consists of simple sentence constructions and one line of text per page. Furthermore, each page provides
colourful picture cues in the form of photographs and illustrations to help the reader decode the text.
