Black Death - The Story of the Plague at Eyam
The events in this story are based on the actual events that took place in the village of Eyam, Derbyshire in 1665. Whilst the main protagonists of the story of fictional, they interact with real persons who lived and died during that terrible summer. Children will readily identify with Sarah the
heroine of the story, or her younger brother and elder sister. The text is supported by historical fact about the plague and Eyam itself.
