Graham Virgo is a Professor of English Private Law, University of Cambridge.

Graham Virgo has written another excellent book on equity. He is one of my fiercest critics, and one I have come to regard with great respect. He is an undoubted expert on the principles of equity, but more importantly he understands the particular cast of mind which an equity judge brings to a legal problem. The Rt Hon Lord Millett Where Virgos text succeeds is in its clarity and uncluttered nature, providing a lucid distillation of the legal principles. The balance between statement of current law and doctrine on the one hand, and points of controversy and debate on the other, is extremely well-judged.
