Review

Patton, Sawicki, and Clark present an extremely useful, structured method for parsing the critical elements of policy so that analysts can develop appropriate, logical, defensible recommendations and policy solutions...Basic Methods of Policy Analysis and Planning remains a very useful resource for planners and students looking for guidance on policy evaluation tools and techniques. The book can greatly improve the policy analysis skill set of its readers, many of whom should be planners.
Sammis White, the Journal of the American Planning Association
