About the Author
Dr. John Diamond graduated from Sydney University Medical School in 1957 and obtained his Diploma in Psychological Medicine in 1962. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatry and a Foundation Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists of Great Britain.
After practicing psychiatry in Australia, he came to the United States where he expanded into Complementary Medicine, becoming President of the International Academy of Preventive Medicine. As he became more involved with the concept of Life Energy, he increasingly concentrated on the enhancement of the sufferers Life Energy so as to actuate his own innate Healing Power.
Dr. Diamond, as the Founder of The Institute for Music and Health, has investigated, researched and applied many factors in the musician and his instruments in an attempt to maximize musics therapeutic power. A healer, author, photographer, poet, composer and musician, playing drums, percussion and the didjeridu, he has taught countless musicians and artists, and his knowledge extends to all genres of music, especially classical and jazz.
He now devotes himself to employing music as the therapeutic modality, to achieve overall life enhancement.
