The author of this text argues that, since the Reformation, the Roman Catholic Church has advanced to the position where it is more "reformed" than many protestant groups. The author, who spent 25 years as a priest of the Church of England, relates his personal experience of the Catholic Church as a newcomer, having converted to Roman Catholicism in 1994. He expresses the view that the Catholic faith speaks more clearly, and in his opinion, has achieved the position of being the most viably universal of churches.

Soft cover. Condition: Very Good. 1st Paperback Edition. Paperback. Foreword by Clifford Longley. ' Last year I became a Roman Catholic; before that for 25 years I was a priest in the Church of England. What makes my case different from many others is that my roots in the Church of England are evangelical. it is an evangelical protestant that I enter the Catholic Church, and as an evangelical protestant that I accept its teaching and authority. My purpose is to engage in some provocative lateral thinking based on the universal affirmations of Christendom, and so find new perspectives to make old problems look different. I want to free the log-jam in Christian thinking so that we can move forward in the Lord's purposes towards a universal Church'. 150 pp. (We carry a wide selection of titles in The Arts, Theology, History, Politics, Social and Physical Sciences. academic and scholarly books and Modern First Editions ,and all types of Academic Literature.).
