Paperback. Condition: new. Paperback. Issues of war and terrorism have concentrated attention once again on the role of the use of force in the world today. Published in 1973, Professor John Ferguson's The Politics of Love remains a timely and relevant treatise on the alternatives to violence. In a scholarly yet accessible account, he looks at the New Testament to reveal a Christian basis for pacifism and non-violence. Personal involvement and commitment, he emphasises, can have a more profound effect to bring about much needed change than arms expenditure and brute force.
