About the Author
Carol Ann Duffy is a poet who has won the Forward Prize, the T. S. Eliot Prize, and the Whitbread Prize, and was appointed Britain's poet laureate in 2009. Her other children's books include I Wouldn't Thank You for a Valentine, The Princess's Blankets, and The Tear Thief. Joel Stewart is the author and illustrator of Dexter Bexley and the Big Blue Beastie.
