About the Author:

Dr Michiel Roscam Abbing was awarded his doctorate from the University of Amsterdam in 1999. He is editor-in-chief of Essays About Rembrandt (Foleor Publishers), and his other publications include Rembrandts Olifant Hansken (Leporello Uitgevers) and New Rembrandt Documents (Foleor Publishers), as well as numerous articles on Rembrandt. He lives near Amsterdam.
