The other six are not much better. Each is about a girl who pursues quite untraditional interests such as driving a forklift truck, fighting dragons, or piloting a helicopter. Although the absurd situations are mildly amusing, better books about plucky, intrepid girls have been written. Try The Ordinary Princess (Doubleday, 1984) by M. M.
