About the Author:
Richard Davenport-Hines is the author of biographies of Dudley Docker, W. H. Auden, Marcel Proust, Lady Desborough, and Maynard Keynes. He has also written histories, as well as editing three volumes of Hugh Trevor-Roper's correspondence and journals.
