Between interesting tidbits about accommodations, dining experiences & press conferences, he gives fascinating, but limited, insights into Soviet medicine, in which politics is an important symptom. He's written popular books on Chernobyl & US nuclear energy policy. He received an Emmy award for his work on a 60 Minutes special report about Chernobyl.
