Hard Cover. Condition: VG+. Dust Jacket Condition: VG+. First Edition, First Printing. Octavo. Brown cloth covered boards and spine with shiny silver foil lettering on the spine. Book has light bumping at the head and tail of the spine and at the tip of the upper front outside corner. Whtie endpapers. Binding is straight and tight. There's a faint wave to the lower edge of the pages from the free front endpaper through page xviii of the Introduction. Fair amount of foxing to the upper edge of the textblock, but pages are otherwise clean, white and crisp. 317 pages. Illustrated with reproduced sheet music and photographs. Dust Jacket - has light rubbing at the head and tail of the spine. Series of light brown spots across the inside of the jacket, but not visible on the exterior.
