Introduction to Information Systems, 8/E is written for business students with a business end-user focus. This point of view has been the primary reason behind the book's success over seven editions. The text contains traditional coverage of the topics that support business information systems literacy. O'Brien's 8E gives students less theory and more on the basic building blocks to understand the concepts and technology necessary to become intelligent users of information systems. Contrast this text with the more theory-oriented, higher-level O'Brien-MIS 3e that is geared toward managers more than end-users of information systems.
