FOR HER DAUGHTER
Laura Jessup is used to the rumors—everyone in tiny Gibson, Montana, thinks she's a home-wrecker. And Laura can handle that if it means protecting her daughter from her sweet girl's father. Only hunky EMT Tanner Hudson seems immune to the gossipmongers. The solution he proposes—a marriage in name only!—might just be crazy enough to work...if only Laura can keep her heart out of it.
Tanner wasn't sure Laura would accept a platonic marriage, even though it would stop the rumor mills and get his own family off his back. But as the wedding draws closer, Tanner worries that his plan is working a little too well. He's falling for Laura, hard. They thought they were ready for marriage, but are Tanner and Laura prepared for real love?

In 2006, I sold my first book to Harlequin. It featured a heroine who was pregnant, a hero who came to the rescue, who offered a solution to her troubles in the form of marriage, and who loved her child as his own. HIRED BY THE COWBOY is still a fan-favorite.
Fast forward to 2016, and my twenty-ninth book for Harlequin, and I've done it again. If you read THE COWBOY'S CHRISTMAS FAMILY, you'll know a bit about Laura Jessup and her newborn baby girl, and you'll have met Tanner Hudson, the rancher and EMT who helped deliver her baby.
The baby is not his, but he loves her just the same. He offers Laura a way out of her problems by proposing a marriage of convenience - for just as long as it's convenient. The thing that's not convenient? Attraction. Friendship. Love.
Love, marriage, a baby in a carriage? I love writing stories where that order is all mixed up. It's hard on my characters, but the resulting Happy Ever Afters are some of my favorites.
I hope they're yours, too.
To Johanna and all the editors at Harlequin who have come before...I've learned so much from you and have enjoyed every minute. #editorappreciationsociety
