In an irreverent, witty, and splendidly sensual voice, Dr. Susan Block lays down the laws for giving each other unequaled erotic pleasure. It takes more than learning new techniques to lead a sexually satisfying life: You must have knowledge of your partner's needs, hopes, and fantasies. The 10 Commandments of Pleasure playfully leads you down the path to erotic delight -- and provides you with the keys to unlocking each other's deepest desires.
Follow these golden rules and learn:
Dr Susan Block tells you how to have it in her reading of The Ten Commandments Of Pleasure.

According to sex therapist and erotic-philosopher Block, sexual stupidity is at the root of human problems, ranging from heartache, misery, and loneliness to prejudice, bigotry, and violence. Further, she asserts that even after the sexual revolution and contraceptive advances, a multitude of state laws and religious commandments pertaining to sexuality continue to be restrictive. She therefore offers 20 commandments?ten for women, ten for men?designed to help identify and activate both common and individual pleasure points vital to achieving sexual freedom. Together, these laws of love and pleasure embody a code that the author calls ethical hedonism. Although her advice constitutes an adequate workbook for individuals in healthy sexual relationships, it falls short of providing the detailed techniques in more comprehensive works such as Barbara Keesling's Sexual Pleasure (LJ 2/1/94). Block's sound-bite approach and irritating habit of referring to her readers as "darlings" also detract from the book's appeal. A marginal purchase for public libraries.?David Johnson, Fayetteville P.L., Ark.
