Synopsis
Published in conjunction with the March 2002 exhibition at the Bellevue Art Museum, this volume presents color reproductions of about 60 of Alfredo Arreguin's paintings drawn from local, national and international collections. They depict the flora and fauna of the Latin-American rain forest or the Pacific Northwest, individuals who have worked for the social concerns important to the artist, and Madonnas that express a sense of connection between nature and human behavior. The text by Lauro Flores (Spanish, Portuguese and American Ethnic Studies, U. of Washington), presented in both Spanish and English, discusses some of his background and work.
