Synopsis

Following an introductory chapter on comparative fish histology, the volume’s 38 specific chapters are grouped under six major headings: specific diseases; diseases of a species; lesions of organ systems; chemical and physical agents of disease; nutritional disease; and neoplasia. More than 450 illustrations, including many photomicrographic enlargements, elucidate the text.

About the Author
William E. Ribelin was professor in the Department of Veterinary Science at the University of Wisconsin—Madison. He was coeditor of books and articles, including The Pathology of Laboratory Animals. George Migaki has served as chief pathologist and director of the Registry of Comparative Pathology, Armed Forces Institute of Pathology, Washington, D.C. He has been a coeditor of many books and articles, including The Comparative Pathology of Zoo Animals and Transplacental Effects on Fetal Health.
